What counts as a referral

A referral is successful when three things happen:

  • They subscribe with your code at checkout
  • They complete the 14-day free trial
  • Their first payment goes through

Your code does all the tracking: nothing depends on cookies or links. Someone can see your post on their phone then subscribe on their laptop six months later and the referral still counts.

One requirement: posts that include your code are advertising. Please label them by using #ad; that should cover it.

What is the Selah affiliate programme?
We give you a personal promo code to share with your audience. Anyone who subscribes with it gets 10% off their first year and you earn £10 once their first payment goes through.
How much does Selah cost?
Selah costs £29.99 a year and includes a 14-day free trial. With your code, your audience pays £26.99 for their first year.
What counts as a successful referral?
A reader subscribes with your code at checkout, completes the 14-day free trial and their first payment goes through. Nothing is owed for trials that don’t convert.
What if someone uses my code but cancels?
If they cancel during the free trial, no payment goes through and the referral doesn’t count. If they cancel after their first payment, your £10 still stands. Payments aren’t refunded: once one goes through, your payout is safe.
How do I track my referrals?
Every redemption of your code is recorded automatically at checkout. Each monthly payout comes with a tally of the referrals it covers and you can ask for your numbers anytime.
Can I refer myself?
No, self-referrals don’t count.
Are paid ads allowed?
No. The programme is for sharing Selah with your own audience, not for running search or social ads or bidding on the Selah name.
